Astou Diouf is a legal researcher, PhD student, Digital Law Consultant and Expert in Data Protection, Governance and Security.

In charge of the Research Department within the JONCTION Organization on issues related to digital rights: (Personal Data Protection, Data Security and Data Governance- Privacy, Internet of Things - Artificial Intelligence- Cybersecurity - Cybercrime- Freedom of Expression on the Internet).

Since 2018, I have expertise in data governance, protection and security. Moreover, I had to write a Critical Study of Senegal's National Cybersecurity Strategy (SNC 2022). Another Study on data governance: Data localization, biometric database and digital identity.

From this expertise, I participated in the elaboration of the National Data Strategy Project and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Project.

I have worked with state structures and national, regional and international non-governmental organizations as an expert in Internet governance and the popularization of fundamental rights and freedoms on the Internet in Africa.
