
Catherine Mkude

Catherine Mkude is the Director of the Institute of Educational and Management Technologies and a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and ICT at the Open University of Tanzania. Mkude received a doctorate in E-Government with a specialisation in strategic planning and implementation from Koblenz University in Germany.
She has taken part in several projects: eGovPoliNet - Building a global multidisciplinary digital governance and policy modelling research and practice community, project of the European Commission; Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) between the Government of Tanzania, through the e-Government Agency, and the Republic of Korea; Development of the Data Categorization and Sharing Framework that takes into account data sharing, privacy, and security, the project funded by the African Union (AU). Mkude's research focuses on the adoption and impacts of ICT in the public sector. She is also keen on researching legal aspects of digitisation and ICT innovation.
