Kambidima Wotela studied demography and population studies for all his degrees. His facilitation, teaching, and research supervision are based on Prof Sugata Mitra’s approaches and systems thinking principles. He is currently facilitating systems thinking, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as research, evaluation, analytical, and quantitative methods at the Wits School of Governance. He also supervises master's and doctoral research students at his School. He is also a facilitator on the Wits University-wide post-graduate support, an initiative that facilitates postgraduate research for all Wits students. He has extended this support to other institutions such as Nelson Mandela University, Tshwane University of Technology, University of Fort Hare, University of Zambia, and University of Zululand.
