
Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi

Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi is a prominent figure in Nigeria's technology sector and is known for his technocratic and strategic leadership. With two decades of experience, he serves his second term as Director General/CEO of Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). Under his leadership, NITDA has driven significant growth in Nigeria’s ICT sector.
He became DG in 2019, implementing transformative policies, catalysing job-creating opportunities and establishing regulatory frameworks in the IT sector. His market-creating instruments established the Nigerian Data Protection Commission (NDPC). His implementation of the IT project clearance initiative saved the Nigerian government over ₦312 billion. He promotes digital literacy, launching initiatives like the National Digital Literacy Framework and Digital Literacy for All. Kashifu holds a computer science degree, has completed executive education programs at Harvard and MIT, and is recognised as Nigeria's first Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert in the public sector.
