Olga Ustyuzhantseva

Olga Ustyuzhantseva is a Senior Research Associate at the Trilateral Chair on Transformative Innovation and the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) for the Sustainable Development Programme at the University of Johannesburg. Olga graduated with a degree in International Relations in 2000 and worked for ten years in an international IT company. In 2014, she earned a Ph.D. in History, focusing on the science, technology, and innovation policy of India. She also obtained a Master's degree in Social Anthropology in 2022. From 2018 to 2021, she led the Centre for Policy Analysis and Studies of Technologies, managing projects that explored the social aspects of new and emerging technologies. Over the last five years, she has focused on studying the participatory turn in innovation development and policy, as well as the changes in innovation systems driven by increased societal participation.
