Rachel Magege

Programming: Data Governance, Tanzania

Rachel Magege brings a robust legal background with expertise in data protection law, investment law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and digital and tech law. Her work focuses on integrating regional economic zones across Africa to enhance responsible data governance and forward thinking initiatives. Rachel is also a well-versed legal author, public speaker and developing expert in mediation and arbitration, holding certification in Fundamentals of Effective Negotiation from the Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom.

Rachel is also an active member of the Tanzania Privacy Professionals Association and the Association of Young Arbitrators in Africa. In her spare time, she volunteers and serves as a Judge and Coach under the International Law Student Association (ILSA) for law students who compete in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
