Simphiwe Dzengwa holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration – MPA (Financial Management) from the Florida Atlantic University in the USA and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Rhodes University. He attained his junior and honors degrees from the University of the Western Cape. He is currently registered for a PhD program at Wits University.

Simphiwe has vast experience in working with Board and Board Committees. He has served in various Boards and Audit Committees. He has also reported to Board as an executive in various entities. Besides these, Simphiwe has worked as an Executive or Senior Manager in various state entities. This has given him wide exposure and tremendous advantage of understanding the policies, legislative frameworks, and operational matters applicable to all three spheres of government. His experience also includes international assignments and participation in various international platforms.

Simphiwe has worked extensively in the area of government finances and management and generally considers himself a developmental activist. Simphiwe is currently the Acting Managing Director for State Information Technology Agency (SITA)
