United Nations E-Government Survey 2024

This roundtable session will disseminate key findings from the survey, sparking discussions on best practices and challenges specific to the African region. The session will equip stakeholders with the knowledge and skills necessary for advancing e-government initiatives. This may include exploration of the Local Online Service Index (LOSI) methodology and its application within the countries in the region. The roundtable will also discuss ways to align the provision of public services at national and local levels, further contributing to the knowledge exchange.


Objectives for the participants

  • Increased knowledge of government officials on the key findings of the 2024 UN E-Government Survey, namely in Africa and best practices in e-government
  • Enhanced understanding of the E-Government Development Index (EGDI) and the Local Online Service Index (LOSI) methodology and its application for e-government at local and national levels
  • Improved knowledge and skills for aligning national and local e-government strategies
  • Strengthened capacity for knowledge sharing and South-South cooperation
